Whole Body Plehysmography
The DSI Buxco Whole Body Plehysmography detection system uses Halcyon ® The patented noise reduction technology is mainly used to monitor the respiratory function of experimental animals in a state of wakefulness, free movement, non restraint, and non anesthesia. During the monitoring process, experimental animals need to be placed in specially designed chambers for experimentation. The WBP chamber is equipped with a highly sensitive pressure sensor that can detect subtle pressure changes inside the chamber. The pneotachs with sieve holes on the cavity sense the subtle pressure changes generated by the airflow inside and outside the cavity. Based on these subtle flow signals, Buxco FinePointe software provides you with professional and accurate parameters related to lung ventilation, bronchial constriction, etc. through professional derivation formulas and analysis.

System composition:
A typical system includes: a whole-body plethysmograph, a corresponding number of sensors, a deflectometer, an nebulization drug delivery system, a main controller with a preamplifier and USB analog-to-digital converter installed in its slot, analysis software, and related accessories. Optional system: Sensors with temperature and humidity probes can be optionally equipped to accurately measure the temperature and humidity inside the chamber during experiments, greatly improving the accuracy of parameters such as tidal volume.
